My Quest For Tripas
So a week ago, Dave introduced me to tacos de tripas or tripe tacos. It blew me away! Ever since then, I was craving them, but I couldn’t find any. Went to a few known joints in my area, but no tripas. I resorted to Yelp, and found a place in La Habra, La Ranchera Taqueria. The place had good reviews too, so I went. I didn’t see it on the menu, so I nervously asked if they had it, and luckily they did. I ordered two.

They were a bit pricey at $1.50 a pop, but then again, the tacos were a bit bigger than regulation. After eating these, I was satisfied, but the ones I had the first time were a lot better. This place also gave me a free strawberry juice kind of thing, and homemade chips and salsa, which was nice of them.

I asked about it, and they make fresh tortillas every morning, and the lady pointed to this big machine that I originally hadn’t noticed. I left, and as I was driving on La Habra Blvd. there were so many Mexican places. It was like finding a hidden city filled with treasure or something. So if you’re craving tacos, tortas, burritos, etc. take a drive down La Habra Blvd.
