Hong Kong
A few weeks ago I was able to visit Hong Kong because of a conference that was held there. It was definitely hyped up (Mike), but deserved all it’s praise. What a city. With the cities I’ve visited so far, I would say it’s a mix of SF and NY. It’s super dense, but surprisingly efficient. They have an arsenal of public transportation including ferries, subways, buses, trollies and taxis, which make it so easy to get around. Everyone is courteous, and it helped that mostly everyone could speak or at least understand English. I really enjoyed it there. Mainland China is only a few miles away, but there is such a different vibe here. I’ve never appreciated freedom so much. There was such a stark contrast coming from Beijing that you could just taste the freedom in the air. And it tasted like bacon, I know, weird. The only negative thing I’ll say about HK is the weather. Humidity up the butt. However, they made up for it by blasting AC everywhere you go.
Gotta give it up for Bruce Lee.

This was the best dim sum in town, as told to us by two different locals. After tasting it, I now know that LA’s dim sum is up to par. This place had the edge on their mango pudding though. It was excellent!

A really popular restaurant in HK. I did not know what the fuss was about. It was only worth visiting to experience how fast everything moves in the restaurant. Waiters are running about and they make you stand next to tables while people are still eating so that no time is wasted once they leave.

Pork buns the size of fists. They don’t mess around with this stuff here.

It’s beautiful.

Guess what fruit this is. Hint: It’s skin is spiky.

Solomon’s Porch church. It was nice and so free worshiping Him.

Traffic is opposite in HK, and these signs helped so much.

Kowloon park. These huge trees were cool.

A bird was trying to eat this ant which was inside the lamp. Ant wins.

Famous view from Victoria Peak. Everyone and their mothers had SLR’s up here.

Satisfied customers.
