I celebrated my birthday over the weekend with Justin who also was born on the best day of the year. It was good times with friends and “family”– actually forget the quotes, just family. One of my many blessings that I have received out here in China is the people that HE has placed around me. I didn’t skip a beat celebrating my 25th out in China because of them. I received as much love as I would have received if I were still in the States. So, thank you China family. Also, thanks to everyone for all the FB wall posts and IM’s! Finally, gotta give it up for mom/dad/bro. I haven’t received the card yet, but thank you. 25 years and going stronger.

I just took this to test out the flash settings, but now it’s one of my favorites.

In college my friends and I loved treats, whether they were Rice Krispies, Captain Crunch, etc. Thanks Grace! I ate some for breakfast too the next morning.

Rachel & Grace

Mike’s “O” face.

iPhone heads.

The “Kobe face”.

Good pizza.

The gang.

The next day my friend Sue made carne asada tacos! Just one of her dishes in her amazing repertoire. Lynn made cherry pies, not one, but TWO, and Faith made a chocolate cake from scratch…can you feel the love?

They say that when two or more wish at the same time, it comes true. I hope my pet penguin shows up soon…
