Decided To Do Some Baking
Woke up and decided to bake cookies. I felt like such a noob in a movie. I went to go buy some ingredients and came back to find out I didn’t have enough flour. Fail. I rush back to the store and bring the flour to the register only to find out I had forgotten my wallet at home. Fail. Luckily, I had enough change in my car so I paid for it in quarters. Still…fail. When I started putting the ingredients together, I found out that I actually DID have enough flour at home. Fail. Finally, when I took out the first batch from the oven, I dropped the whole tray on the way out causing all the cookies to come crashing on the floor. FAIL. Also, partially melted chocolate is effing hard to wipe off the floor. FAIL.
But, through our trials of tribulation comes blessing. I was happy with how it turned out. I also need to give credit to Sue who taught me everything I know about baking cookies. Sue, you would be so proud. So here it is: Chocolate Chip Almond Cookies using half the butter, whole wheat flour, and Splenda. Delicious AND a little guilt free. HOLLERBAK.
